2009 mergers cause the disappearance of some laboratories from the previous list. Wyeth, previously number 10 on 2009, is now part of Pfizer, number 1; Schering-Plough, number 15 on 2009, merged with Merck, producing a company which will probably rank to number 4 on 2011; Genetech (19) was acquired by Roche; Warner-Chilcott which was not present in this list will climb to the middle of the list on 2011.
